DemoReel is a screen recorder and editor that runs in a browser tab. You record, add zooms, captions and music on a timeline, and export an MP4 up to 4K. Nothing gets installed, and nothing you record leaves your machine.
Recording, editing and export, with no account and no render queue.
Pick a screen, window or tab. A countdown gives you a beat, and the take doesn't need to be clean, because mistakes get cut on the timeline.
Auto-zoom scans the take and places zooms where things happened. Captions come from a speech model on your machine. Every edit is an object you can drag.
Encoded locally, up to 4K at 60fps. The same project exports 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Reels, or any size you type in.
The lens drifting over the preview above is not a video effect. It's the app's glass layer, running its real shader on this page.
Eased punch-ins you place with one click. Auto-zoom scans the recording and places them for you, and you drag or delete whatever it got wrong.
How auto-zoom works →A speech model runs on your own hardware, so the audio never leaves it. Captions are styled, timed and burned into the export.
About private captions →Blur regions stay locked to the content underneath, even while a zoom moves it. The glass magnifier is for fine print.
Blurring sensitive info →One background track with fades and looping, plus sections that duck the recording's own sound while you talk over it.
Adding a music bed →Screen and webcam record together. You move and resize the bubble after the take, once you can see what it covers.
Screen + webcam guide →Backgrounds, frames and padding around the recording. Canvas from 16:9 to a custom size you type in, exported up to 4K. One project can export for YouTube, Reels and your landing page without re-editing.
Vertical exports →Cloud recorders upload your footage before you've made a single edit. DemoReel does the recording, the editing, the caption model and the MP4 encoding inside your browser, on your hardware. There is no upload step to trust us about: load the page, cut your network, and everything still works.
Recording, zooms, captions and blur are free, with output capped at 1080p, 30fps and a small watermark. Pro removes the caps.
Payments by Stripe. Cancel anytime; exports are yours forever.
Yes. The free plan is the complete editor: recording, trimming, zooms, auto-zoom, captions, blur, the camera bubble and every canvas shape, exporting at up to 1080p and 30fps with a small watermark. Pro removes the watermark and unlocks 4K, 60fps, music, image layers, liquid glass, custom sizes and project files.
No. Recording, editing, caption generation and export all run locally in your browser. Your footage never touches a server, and the app keeps working if you go offline after loading it.
Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers work best, including tab and system audio capture. Safari is fully supported. Firefox can record, but export depends on its WebCodecs H.264 support.
A speech-recognition model runs on your own device, so your audio is never sent anywhere. Captions come back with word-level timing, you fix any product names in the transcript, and they're burned into the export so they show up on every platform. English is supported today.
A Pro license activates on up to 3 devices, and you can free a slot yourself anytime. The free plan needs no account at all.
Standard MP4 (H.264) at 720p, 1080p or 4K, 30 or 60fps, in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 16:10 or any custom pixel size. One project can export for YouTube, Reels and your landing page.
Open the studio and press the red button. It's free, there's no account, and the export is yours in minutes.
